Athlete Membership


Athletes - £15 annually

This membership is for athletes who wish to register with the British Pole & Aerial Sport Federation to show they support and adhere to sporting expectations laid down by the IPSF and BPASF. This includes signing up to the WADA code and anti-doping regulations which can be legally enforced. As athletes you will be supported in many ways; we will ensure that standards and conditions in competitions are raised to the highest levels, we will continue to promote a fair and equal scoring and judging system that is consistent around the world and we will keep pushing forward to have your achievements recognised in world games and championships.

Criteria required for an athlete’s membership

• Completed online membership form

• Completed WADA National-Level Athlete Education Program  (Free training course can be taken here)

• £15 membership fee

• Electronic photograph – head shot



Application Procedure

Guidelines

• The membership form should be completed online, all supporting documents can be uploaded to the online application form.

• The membership fee must be sent along with the application form, payments can be made on our online shop

• All members will be required to abide by the WADA code – see details below.

The WADA code is an international agreement between all sporting organisations affiliated with the International Olympic Committee and Sport Accord to ensure fair and clean sporting behaviour for all. The IPSF (and therefore also the BPASF) have adopted the principles of WADA and is in the process of implementing an anti-doping educational program which will include testing. Signing up to be a member of the Federation makes it your responsibility to find out further information, we will of course help you wherever necessary, but you should also find out as much information or yourself that you can so that you understand the anti-doping rules and how they fit with your life as an athlete. Membership Application

Your application will be processed within two weeks from receipt of your forms. Should more information be needed you will be notified by email. You will be informed of the outcome of your application on completion of the full application process; your welcome pack and membership card will be sent via email. Please make sure your email and postal addresses are correct.

Membership fees can be made by bank transfer upon request.


NATIONAL ANTI-DOPING TRAINING

INTERNATIONAL ANTI-DOPING TRAINING (for those athletes who have qualified for the World Championship)

REGISTERED TESTING POOL TRAINING (for those who have been notified that they are included in a registered testing pool by the IPSF)

Membership Renewal

Membership is renewed annually. One month before your renewal date you will be asked if you wish to renew your membership, and sent details of how to do so. You may cancel at any time, no refund will be offered for cancelled membership fees.
